Door mirrors are traditionally affixed to the doors with hardware through the sheet metal, resulting in a wobbly mirror that does not have much rigidity. Often times the mirrors loosen over time, and can cause damage to the surrounding paint.

These backing plates are intended to be installed inside the door to give your door mirrors significant rigidity, paired with nylock nuts so they will never come loose.
